Meet the Oak & Iron Crew
We are a group of builders dedicated to quality craftsmanship.
Oak & Iron was started in 2019 as a solo operation by owner Aron Smethurst, and as demand grew so did the company.
With our growth we remained dedicated to our core values; attention to detail, reliability, honesty, and integrity (both structural and ethical). Everyone on our team is easy to get along with, great at communicating with our clients, and is committed to every project we do.

Where do I begin?! Approximately 2 years ago Aron, my husband and I found each other through a mutual friend. Aron was just starting out and we were looking for someone for our MAJOR remodel/tear down. Aron wrote us a wonderful Email telling us why we needed him, and the rest is history! We now have the house of our dreams. The world threw MANY hurdles at us but we survived. what Aron and his team completed for us is more than we could’ve asked for. He even took all my crazy Pinterest ideas and executed to perfection. We couldn’t be more happy with our choice to go with Oak and Iron. Aron is an awesome human being and we consider ourselves quite lucky to get to know him and we couldn’t have chosen a better person to build our dream home. We enthusiastically recommend Oak & Iron Building. Aron and his crew were a pleasure to work with, dependable and did excellent work for a fair cost. There were no frustrating or unfortunate surprises. The timeline Aron forecast was met (despite COVID and harsh weather) and the cost included in the bid was very close to the final invoice. Any changes that were needed, on our end or from Oak & Iron, were dealt with through easy and quick communication. The only surprise we did experience was how much we enjoyed having Aron and his crew in our home and how easily the whole project was accomplished. Initially, we hired Aron to do an addition to our home but we chose to enlarge the project to include new flooring and remodeling another bedroom and bathroom. We will definitely rely on Oak & Iron for any future work on our home.
We hired Oak and Iron to take off our old cedar siding and put on new hardie board siding. And something very unusual happened: THEY DELIVERED EXACTLY WHAT THEY PROMISED. Aron and his team got the job done in the time frame they said it would take, and at the price they quoted. If you've ever dealt with contractors and subcontractors, you'll know this is atypical. In addition to being an extraordinarily well-run business, the quality of their work was exemplary. Add to that a great group of guys who were a joy to deal with everyday. I highly recommend Oak and Iron.
